Officers say they were working to combat violence through a tri-district initiative when they witnessed a suspect make a drug transaction. The suspect, later identified as Ryan Lewis, was arrested after in the 400 block of Parish Street.
Police said they found a load semi-automatic gun on Lewis, as well as narcotics and money.
Lewis was transported to Central Booking where he has been charged as an adult.
