BALTIMORE (WMAR) - A 16-year-old boy was shot in Northeast Baltimore Friday night following a robbery, police say.
According to Baltimore City Police, the teenage victim was walking south in the 5100 block of York Road when he noticed a dark-colored car approaching him.
The victim told police that he heard people get out of the car before two men approached him from behind. It would be when one of the suspects reached into the victim's pocket and stole an undisclosed amount of cash that the victim began to run.
The victim adds to police that one of the suspects shot him in the leg as he was running.
The two men then reportedly got back into the vehicle and drove away.
Police are asking for the public's help in searching for the two suspects described as two black men between the ages of 16-21 years old. Police add that one suspect has a light skin complexion and was wearing a khaki sweatshirt. The second suspect was wearing a green hoodie and blue jeans.
