BALTIMORE - Baltimore police shot and killed a suspect with a gun in southeast Baltimore early Monday evening.
Deputy Commissioner Jerry Rodriguez said police were involved in an altercation with an adult male in the 1800 block of East Lanvale Street.
Police say the man killed has been identified as Perry Webb, 24, whose latest address listed was in the 500 block of Bowleys Quarters Road.
An officer shot and killed the suspect when police saw the man had a gun in his hand, Rodriguez said.
The officer, police identified as Officer Warren Benn, has been a member of the Baltimore Police Department since November of 2000. Benn is currently assigned to the Special Enforcement Section.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
