GLEN BURNIE, Md. - It was a bad day Thursday for a woman in Glen Burnie who ended up being charged for assault and attempted manslaughter after deputies evicted her from her home.
Anne Arundel County Police say officers arrived to help the Sheriff's Office with the incident on Shelly Road shortly after 1:15 p.m.
Police say while trying to evict Kalli Kassab deputies had to ask her to leave. While she was leaving, she spit on a property employee and backed her car into him, running over his leg. She ran over his leg again when she pulled away.
The deputy tried to stop Kassab from getting away, but she clipped part of his uniform with her car mirror.
Officers searched the area and found Kassab at a Dollar Store on Ritchie Highway. Police charged her with attempted manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment.
The deputy wasn't hurt in the incident and medics took the property employee to Baltimore Washington Medical Center for treatment.
