A Virginia man was arrested over the weekend for trying to bring a loaded gun through airport security at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
Ryan Joseph Robert Watson, 36, of Stafford Va., was stopped by Transportation Security Administration agents after an officer staffing the checkpoint X-ray machine spotted a handgun in Watson’s carry-on bag.
Watson was ticked to fly to Salt Lake City Sunday.
The gun Watson was carrying was loaded with seven bullets in the magazine and another in the chamber.
Watson was charged by Maryland Transportation Authority police officers with transporting a handgun and interfering with security procedures.
