Teens charged as adults after Annapolis stabbing

Two teenagers from Annapolis have been charged as adults in connection with a stabbing fight that happened over the weekend in the 300 block of Atwater Drive.

Annapolis Police said Zykia Mitchell, 17, is charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a dangerous weapon with intent to injure. Ariel Anderson, 16, faces all the same charges in addition to concealing a dangerous weapon.

Police said the teenagers got into a fight around 1:25 p.m. Friday.

Anderson, who had a small cut under her eye, was treated at the scene, while Mitchell was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment.

Anderson was released after posting $50,000 bond, and Mitchell was released after posting $250,000 bond.
