Two men fatally shot after botched robbery attempt in Severn

Two men were fatally shot following a potential botched robbery attempt in Severn Saturday night, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

At approximately 11:58 p.m., Anne Arundel County Western District Patrol Officers responded to the 7600 block of Sandy Farm Road in Severn for a possible residential burglary.

Officers discovered a male suffering from gunshots wounds inside the house. It was learned the male forced his way into the house through a window. He was transported to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

While searching the area, officers found a deceased male with gunshot wounds in a white pick-up truck.

Police learned the burglars were shot in a confrontation with a resident in the home. Both males fled after being shot. 

One male returned to the home seeking assistance with his gunshot wound. The other male fled in the white pick-up truck found in the area.
