A man and woman were arrested early Friday following an alleged home invasion where the suspects tried to use a butcher knife, Anne Arundel County police.
Corey Knapp, 23, of Glen Burnie, and Kayla Baxter, 25, of Linthicum, were charged with burglary, assault, reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana, according to a police news release.
Around 12:30 a.m., police responded to the 200 block of Third Ave. for a dispute that was determined to be a home invasion. Police said the victim knew Knapp and Baxter, and identified them as the suspects.
Police said Knapp and Baxter walked up to the residence, opened the door and entered, resulting in an argument with the occupants. Knapp tried to harm the occupants with a butcher knife before they forced Knapp and Baxter to leave.
Further investigation determined that the incident was domestic, involving a couple and former boyfriend.
The suspects’ vehicle was found in the 6000 block of Ritchie Highway. Knapp was found with a small amount of marijuana. Police then took him and Baxter into custody.
