Three people charged after drug bust in a Glen Burnie park

GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Three people are facing charges after police witnessed a suspected drug deal witnessed in a Glen Burnie park Thursday.

Detectives with the Anne Arundel County Police Department were watching Morris Hill Park last week after getting a number of complains about drug activity there.

Around 9 p.m. detectives saw three people in the park allegedly engaging in drug activity, police said.
The detectives seized 4.9 grams of cocaine, 1.9 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,622 in the exchange with the trio, police said.

Ryan Maurice Phinney, 42, of the 6200 block of Eldridge Road in Glen Burnie was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine and trespassing.

Brian Fitzgerald Mattison, 45, of the 300 block of Williams Road in Glen Burnie was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin with intent to distribute and trespassing.

Sheila Dawn Canter, 38, of the 300 block of Williams Road in Glen Burnie was charged by criminal citation with possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
