GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County police arrested three men connected to an armed robbery in front of a Glen Burnie Target Saturday morning who might be behind several recent armed robberies in the county.
Police say around 2:15 a.m. Saturday officers were called to 7951 Nolpark Court in Glen Burnie for a report of a robbery. The 32-year-old male victim told police he was in front of the Target on Nolpark Court when two men approached him, one armed with a gun. They announced a robbery and the man turned over his property.
The suspects then fled toward Glen Marr Road. Responding officers followed a suspicious vehicle which stopped suddenly as police pulled up behind it. A passenger jumped out of the car and ran into the woods. The driver and a second passenger were arrested at the scene.
Police searched the surrounding area and found the man that ran into the woods a short time later.
Officers found a handgun and additional evidence from the crime scene. The victim was not injured in the robbery.
All three men are in police custody with charges pending.
Detectives are working to determine if the three men arrested are linked to a rash of armed burglaries in Anne Arundel County that on Friday and Saturday.
