Suspects in Marley Station Mall burglary arrested in D.C.

Three people are in the custody of the U.S Park Police after Anne Arundel County Police said they fled to Washington, D.C. after burglarizing a store inside a Glen Burnie Mall. 

Police said the burglary happened around 1:40 a.m. Monday, when three suspects with masks attempted to break into the Sprint store inside Marley Station Mall. 

When officers arrived, the suspects ran out of the loading bay doors and got into a light-colored vehicle, driving onto Ritchie Highway toward Route 100. 

Police tried to stop the car, but the driver refused and headed onto southbound 295 toward D.C. 

Shortly after entering D.C. limits, the vehicle crashed and all three suspects attempted to run. 

Qaaree Raagim Palmer, 22, of Washington, D.C., Sammie David Smith, 22 of Hyattsville and Brittani Ronnicka Carney, 23, of Washington, D.C. were taken into custody. Smith was taken to a hospital in Price Georges County for treatment of injuries.  The other two were taken to the Anacostia Police Station.   

A loaded Glock handgun was recovered from the ground near the car, along with multiple stolen cellphones. 

Anne Arundel County Police will be writing arrest warrants for burglary, theft and traffic charges
