Anne Arundel County Police is investigating a deadly double shooting in Brooklyn Park.

Around 4:45 pm, officers responded to a car crash on the 5100 blk of Patrick Henry Drive and found two victims dead inside the vehicle.

The victims have not been identified, but were a man and a woman according to police.

Wednesday evening, the car could be seen hanging out of a shed off the side of the road. Police say they believe the victims were shot while driving and then crashed.

Neighbors heard several gunshots.

"I went upstairs and got undressed and got ready to get into the shower when I heard some shots. It was close," said Edward Schmidt.

Others saw another vehicle involved.

"I was told it was two cars chasing each other and they were shooting," said neighbor Danielle Rodriguez.

A police helicopter flew overhead as detectives searched for clues. Police say there isn't any information on who the shooter may be.

"It does seem strange and it's unusual for this area. We have a lot of officers that patrol this area," says Anne Arundel County Police Lt. Ryan Frashure, "We did have a homicide a little over a year ago, but violent crime in this neighborhood is pretty rare.

Investigators say they don't have any reason to believe there is any threat to the public following the shooting.
