ODENTON, Md. - Police from Anne Arundel County helped make a double arrest after a stolen handgun was recovered from a vehicle on Saturday.
Anne Arundel County Police's Homeland Security and Intelligence Gang Unit helped the Tactical Patrol Unit conduct a proactive enforcement in the 600 block of Cadbury Drive.
While detectives went through the area, they noticed a car that was occupied with two people. When the officers passed the car, they noticed both suspects had an open container of alcohol.
Police say once the car was approached by officers, the driver reached under the seat as if he were trying to hide something.
For the officer's safety, the driver was removed from the car. Police discovered a handgun under the driver's seat. It was later determined that the gun had been stolen from Cecil County.
Both suspects, Toby Lee Hunt, 36 of Odenton, and Isaac Richardson, 38 of Crownsville were arrested and charged with numerous handgun violations.
