Police nab Maryland Live! garage robber

BALTIMORE, Md. - A citizen’s tip led to the arrest of a man wanted for the armed robbery at the Maryland Live! parking garage.

Police charged Erik Maurice Lewis, 28, with armed robbery, assault and theft charges. Police say the charges stem from a robbery on Saturday morning near the Maryland Live! Casino.

The victim told police he was sitting in his car in the casino parking lot just before 7 a.m. when a man with a gun approached, demanded money and then drove off in a black Nissan Altima.

Police said an anonymous caller informed told detectives the car used in the robbery was parked in a driveway in Temple Hills, Md. When police approached, the car drove off. Police stopped the car and a second car that left the house at the same time for a traffic stop and arrested Lewis.

He is being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center on $200,000 bond.
