A Glen Burnie man was arrested and charged with burglarizing an elementary school in Anne Arundel County Friday morning.
Police said Jawaun Marquis Edwards, of the 400 block of Glen Mar Circle, was found inside a portable classroom located behind Rippling Wood Elementary School, "rummaging" through the classroom and gathering items to steal.
Edwards was able to gain entrance to the classroom by breaking a rear window, police said.
Officers responded to an alarm at the school just after 4 a.m. A responding officer made contact with Edwards and took him into custody.
He's been charged with burglary, malicious destruction of property, theft and trespassing.
