An Annapolis man has been arrested in connection with a double stabbing that happened late Sunday night in Annapolis.

Officers were called for a disturbance around 10:20 p.m. to the 100 block of Hillsmere Drive, where they found a man behind a shopping center who appeared to be suffering from severe trauma. Another man was found in the 700 block of Annapolis Neck Road.

Both victims were transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life threatening injuries.

As officers continued to canvass the area, an Annapolis Police Department Canine Unit located a man attempting to hide in a wooded area near Annapolis Neck Road and Hillsmere Drive.

County police arrested Fermin Gomez Jimenez, 19, who is in Anne Arundel County police custody and awaiting a hearing before the District Court commissioner for charges including attempted murder.

The Annapolis Police Department and Anne Arundel County Police Department are both investigating, because the crime happened on the city-county line.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Annapolis Police Department detectives at 410-260-3439.  People can also call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-877-7LOCKUP and submit an anonymous tip.
