Police: DNA evidence links Baltimore man to 2013 Glen Burnie home invasion

GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Anne Arundel County police said DNA evidence linked a Baltimore man to an October home invasion in which a pair of seniors were assaulted.

Police said Travis J. Evans, 26, of 6652 Snowberry Court, is believed to be one of three people suspected on Oct. 18, 2013 of forcing their way into a home on the 500 block of McPherson Road in Glen Burnie and assaulting an 87-year-old man and his 73-year-old girlfriend.

The suspects then ransacked the home, took money and property from the residence and before they fled. The male victim then went across the street and contacted a neighbor, who called police.

Police said that during the course of the investigation, DNA evidence was processed and a suspect was developed that linked him to the incident.

On March 4, Evans was arrested by the Prince George’s County police on unrelated charges. He is currently being held in their detention facility while awaiting trial on their local charges. A detainer has been placed
