BALTIMORE (WMAR) - Anne Arundel County Police have arrested a man who they say had drugs and pipe bombs inside his home.
Just before 12:00 p.m. Thursday, detectives executed a narcotics search warrant for a home on Georgia avenue in Glen Burnie. Once inside the residence, explosive making materials and two pipe bombs were discovered.
The bomb squad was called in and removed the explosive items.
Detectives also recovered 26 marijuana plants estimated at 1,211 inches with a total approximated street value of $18,165, about 523.46 grams of marijuana with an approximated street value of $5,235, drug paraphernalia, explosive device manufacturing equipment, two pipe bombs and three black powder pistols.
Delmus Marshal Rice, Jr., 51, was arrested and charged with 2 counts of destructive device manufacture/possess/distribute, manufacturing marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and 2 counts of possession of paraphernalia.
Police say at no time was the public at risk or in danger from this explosive device.
