Women robbed at gunpoint at Laurel bus stop

LAUREL, Md. - Two people were robbed at gunpoint while standing at a bus stop early Thursday morning in Laurel.

According to Anne Arundel County police, officers responded at about 7 a.m. to the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road for a report of an armed robbery that just occurred.

One of the victims, a 49-year-old woman, told police that a man approached her and another victim she didn't know, displayed a handgun and demanded money from them. The man then ran off after taking a cell phone and money from the unidentified victim. Nothing was taken from the reporting victim.

Police said the man they are looking for was approximately 5-foot-9, wore a gray jacket (possibly leather with a zipper, khaki pants, gray shoes, face covered with a black mask/hood and armed with a handgun.
