What's that fuss at the back of the bus? For a bus in the parking lot at Annapolis High School Wednesday, the fuss was over what officials describe as "high-grade" marijuana.
As students boarded the bus, the driver caught wind of the issue. The smell was strong and traced to a prescription pill bottle at the back of the bus that officials say was in the possession of 18-year-old Luis Enrique Mireles-Ruiz.
The driver reportedly confiscated the bottle and contacted a school resource officer, who says it contained four individually packaged baggies of top-notch pot. The resource officer removed the student from the bus without incident, and the teen was placed under arrest.
According to a report, a search of Mireles-Ruiz also discovered a pocket knife and $273 in cash.
Mireles-Ruiz was charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute on school property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.
