Detectives John Poole and Jason McNemar continue to look over the crime scene photos.
Myra Cason's murder remains unsolved, but these detectives are making sure she is not forgotten.
It was Jan. 28, 2011, a snowy day.
The detectives are trying to make sense of a crime where nothing seems to make sense. Why would she come to a parking lot all alone, away from the stores?
Why would someone of her caliber be found alone, shot in the head? She was a retired teacher, upstanding member of the community, very active with her church, very active and involved with family.
As detectives pore over hundreds of documents and crime scene photos, they have been able to determine some clues to this mystery.
They said she was directed to the location where she was killed, she might have known her attackers, and she was shot with a small caliber hand gun at close range.
At the scene of the homicide, there were two sets of surveillance cameras pointed her way. Both of them were having difficulties that day, due to the snow storm.
She was the youngest of four of children.
Since the fatal shooting, Cason's sister, Cloretta, or Ms. Clo, has placed flowers where her sister died.
"When I go there I say, "Hey, you know I'm here don't you and I can almost feel her," she said.
Homicide detectives are looking for closure. Ms. Clo is looking for much more.
"Justice. Because people tell me if you catch the person that did this you'll have closure. No, it will never be closure. Justice, yes, but, you can't close someone out who's been a part of your life like that."
