Man who shares name with late activist Martin Luther King. Jr. charged with attempted murder

A man whose name is Martin Luther King Jr. faces charges of attempted murder following a domestic dispute in Lothian Saturday.
 
Anne Arundel County Police were called to the area of Southern Maryland Boulevard and Sands Road in Lothian around 2:30 p.m.
 
They found a 41-year-old woman who told them her boyfriend, Martin Luther King Jr., 26, of Prince Frederick shot at her car several times as she was driving. She was not injured.  
 
Officers found King's car parked in the Lyons Creek Trailer Park, but couldn't find him. 
 
At around 10:15 p.m., King voluntarily surrendered himself to officers at the Southern District Station. He was transported the District Court Commissioners Office for his initial hearing.  
 
King is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and use of handgun to commit felony/violent crime.
