BROOKLYN, Md. - Police are looking for a man who shot a 7-Eleven employee during an attempted armed robbery Sunday morning in Brooklyn.
Anne Arundel County police were called to the convenience store in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway around 5 a.m. for a report of a robbery .
A clerk told officers a man walked into the store, showed a gun and demanded cash. The man then shot the employee with what was later determined to be a BB gun. The suspect fled without any money and was last seen on foot headed toward Belle Grove Road.
Officers searched the area but were unable to find the suspect. Police described the suspect as a thin white man with a goatee. He was wearing a dark jacket with a grey hood, blue pants and brown boots.
The clerk was taken to Shock Trauma for treatment of non-life threatening wounds.
