GLEN BURNIE, Md. - A man robbed a woman at a Glen Burnie gas station Thursday night before pointing his index finger at her husband as if it were a handgun, Anne Arundel County police said.
Police said officers responded at about 8:55 p.m. to the 6600 block of Ritchie highway for a report of a robbery.
The victims, a married couple, ages 20 and 21 years, told police that they were fueling their car at a gas station. While the husband pumped gas, a man then sat in the driver's seat and demanded money and her purse, which she surrendered to him.
Police said as the man began to walk away, the husband approached him. However, the man in question then demanded money from the husband, pointing his index finger at him as if it were a handgun. The husband said he didn't have any.
The man then ran off behind the establishment, with the purse. No one was injured during the robbery.
The victims described the man as white, between 40 and 60 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6 foot, very thin build, goatee, decaying teeth, southern accent, tattoo on left side of neck, wearing a dark blue hat, (probably a baseball hat) and blue sweater.
