Man pulls gun on employee because hotel room rate too high

A man pulled a gun on a hotel clerk after demanding room rates were too high.

Police were called to the Red Roof Inn shortly after 9:00 p.m.  at 7306 Parkway Drive S. in Hanover for a reported robbery.

The employee told police a man in his 30’s entered the office and asked about a room. After the clerk quoted prices, the customer said they were too high, pulled out a gun and pointed it at the clerk.

The man ran away after getting cash from the employee’s drawer.

The man is described as a black male, with a thin build, about 6’2”.  He was reportedly wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The employee was not injured.
