Man pleads guilty to robbing casino patrons

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man has pleaded guilty to robbing casino patrons at gunpoint after following them home.

Forty-seven-year-old Jose Hector Laguerre pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit robbery Monday in federal court in Baltimore. He faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison at sentencing Jan. 5.

According to his plea agreement, Laguerre and a conspirator robbed a total of eight Maryland Live patrons over three nights in November 2013.

Prosecutors say video surveillance from the casino showed Laguerre and the conspirator following patrons inside the casino, and then by car as the patrons left the casino garage.

Authorities say The men robbed the victims at gunpoint after the victims got out of their cars to enter their homes.
