The man, police say, is still on the loose. Katrina Bush reports for ABC2 News.
HANOVER, Md. - A Hanover playground was not a safe place to play for two young girls after a man exposed himself to them on Wednesday evening.
Anne Arundel County Police say officers were called to the Ridge Commons Playground around 9 p.m. after reports of indecent exposure involving a 9- and 10-year-old.
The oldest of the two girls told police they were walking past the playground around 5 p.m. when a car passed by and turned around in the middle of the road.
Police explain an unidentified man struck up a conversation with the girls. While the man was speaking to the children, police say, he was exposing himself.
The 9-year-old victim was later interviewed by police at her home. Both girls' stories were consistent with one another, police explained.
The victims told police they had never seen the man before. He is described as a white man in his 40's. Police say he was wearing a black ski cap, blue jeans, and may have had glasses.
While the suspect's description is vague, so is that of the car he was driving. Detectives were only able to say the vehicle was a small, silver two-door car with a flat trunk.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
