ANNAPOLIS - An Annapolis man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing an acquaintance over the weekend.
Around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, a 49-year-old Annapolis man got into an argument with 41-year-old Donald Chew in the 1400 block of Tyler Avenue, according to the Annapolis Police Department.
The argument escalated and Chew allegedly pulled a knife and stabbed the other man, running away before officers arrived, police said.
Police say the two men knew each other.
The victim was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center for treatment of injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Chew later turned himself in to police.
He is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and two related weapons charges.
He was being held Monday at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in lieu of $450,000 bond.
