Police charged a 27-year-old man with rape after he attacked a 63-year-old woman Monday in her home.
Police said officers were called to Clark Road in Jessup just after midnight for a rape.
When officers arrived the 63-year-old victim said the suspect held her down and raped her. She escaped and called police when the rapist allowed her to use the bathroom.
Police searched the area and located the suspect identified as John Ramsey IV later that evening. He was arrested without incident.
