A homeless man has been charged with first- and second-degree assault after stabbing a man during an argument early Thursday evening.

Around 6 p.m., officers responded to a call at the 1200 block of Annapolis Road where they found a man walking in front of Odenton Elementary School, suffering from a superficial stab wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to Shock Trauma, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Police found Kadiest Lacharles Johnson, 33, and he confessed to the assault.

There is no connection to Odenton Elementary School, police said. The men just happened to be nearby the school when the dispute happened.
