Glen Burnie man charged in marijuana growing operation

GLEN BURNIE, Md. - A Glen Burnie man was arrested Thursday with thousands of dollars’ worth of marijuana in his possession, Anne Arundel County police said.

Daniel Paul Puckett, 37, of the 400 block of Maple Lawn NW, was charged with a host of marijuana dealing related charges.

Police said officers executed a search and seizure warrant on Puckett’s home at about 6 a.m. Thursday. The warrant was obtained following an investigation into drug activity in Puckett’s home.

As part of the warrant, police said officers seized 11 marijuana plants with an approximate street value of $5,535 and approximately 2,441 grams of processed marijuana with an approximate street value of $48,820. Detectives also seized several pieces of equipment used to manufacture marijuana, five handguns, five rifles, $5,000 and drug paraphernalia items.
