A Glen Burnie man is charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed his brother in the neck during an argument.

Anne Arundel County Police were called to a home in the 300 block of Juneberry Way around 6:42 p.m. Thursday.

When officers and paramedics arrived, they found a man sitting on the living room floor and bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his neck, police said.

Investigators learned that the victim was visiting family when he and his brother, James William Tayman, got into an argument. During the argument, Tayman allegedly grabbed a knife and put it to the victim's neck, cutting him, police said.

Officers came back to the home around 9:30 p.m. and saw the suspect's vehicle parked in the area. Tayman was taken into custody without incident.

He's charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and use of a deadly weapon with intent to injure.
