Man living in shed attacked, robbed

ODENTON, Md. - Early Tuesday morning, four men went into a shed on Annapolis Road in Odenton. Inside, they allegedly attacked a 59-year-old man who lived there and stole phones and money from him and another man.

Anne Arundel County police officers were patrolling the area at that time and saw the four attackers. The officers identified themselves and ordered the men to stop, but the men ignored the officers and took off running toward the Weis market on Blue Water Boulevard.

Police arrested one man in connection with the attack. The suspect is identified as Dwight David Gunter of Severn.

Despite a search by other officers and K-9 units, the other three men escaped.

Gunter now faces robbery and burglary charges and police are asking anyone with information on the other three men to call them. One of those suspects was last seen with a black book bag with a Washington Redskins logo on it.

The 59-year-old victim was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center and treated for minor injuries. The second victim was treated at the scene.
