Edgewater bank robber arrested after 2 more robberies in VA

Three days, three banks.

Police arrested a man that robbed a bank in Edgewater, and two additional banks in Virginia.

On September 15, Jack Antonio Romero went to the Sandy Spring Bank at 116 Mitchell Chance Road. It was reported that Romero walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. 

The employee gave the money and Romero ran away. 

While investigating this robbery, detectives found that Romero had also robbed two banks in Virginia, one in Manassas, and the other in Prince William County. 

The first robbery was on September 14 in Manassas, followed by the Edgewater bank, and on September 16, Romero robbed the bank in Prince William County. 

Romero is charged with Armed Robbery, 2nd Degree Assault, Theft, and more. He is facing charges in both Maryland and Virginia.
