More than three months have gone by and a family wants to know who hit and killed their son.

Lafawn Stevens died in a hit-and-run accident in Anne Arundel County this summer and police need your help to find the person who did it.

"I'm hoping that the person comes forward and confessed to what happened," Lafawn Stevens Sr., said to ABC2.

And what happened to his son is something he and his family will never forget.

"A big part of my life died that day and my whole life has changed."

Stevens was killed along Route 3 in Crofton in June.

"Lafawn was coming southbound on 301 and the vehicle pulled out in front of him, jumped two lanes," said Stevens.

Police say a tan SUV clipped the motorcycle he was riding.

"He said I'll see you tomorrow pop and I love you and that's the last he walked out the door," Stevens remembers.

Lafawn was just 29.

"From a baby, a kid, a great teenager a great young man he was my best friend, he was my everything," Stevens said.

Now his family is asking for public's help and pleading with the person who hit him.

"Someone was killed, my son's life was worth something at least come forward so his death wont go for nothing.  I want to feel like I've done everything in my power here on earth to try to find that person that hit my son it would help me and my family put closure to this," Stevens said.
