BWI worker cited after bringing stun gun to work

BALTIMORE - A woman who works at a coffee shop at BWI Airport was cited by airport police on a weapons charge for attempting to bring a stun gun past a security checkpoint June 24.

TSA officials say the unidentified woman who lives in Baltimore, was on her way to the shop she works at Tuesday morning when TSA officers detected the stun gun.

MTA Police responded to the checkpoint, confiscated the stun gun, and cited the woman on a state weapons charge.

TSA officials say there was no impact to airport operations.
