The bomb squad was called to a Pasadena bank Monday afternoon to investigate a suspicious device left by a robbery suspect.
Authorities said around 3:40pm police were called to the Hamilton Bank on Jumpers Hill Road in Pasadena for a report of a robbery.
The suspect walked into the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded money. As he fled, he left a device that included a pipe, wires and a watch on the counter.
Police evacuated the building and nearby businesses as the Annapolis bomb squad investigated the suspected pipe bomb. It was later determined the device was a hoax.
A description of the suspect is not available.
