Arnold man arrested after trying to sell stolen goods on Craigslist

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - An Arnold man was arrested Monday after the person he allegedly stole from discovered his property in a Craigslist ad.
The victim first reported to Anne Arundel County police that the shed on his property, located in the 2800 block of Solomons Island Road in Annapolis, had been burglarized and several items were missing.
Police said the victim called officers Monday, Feb. 3, and told them that he believed that he located his stolen property on Craigslist. With the help of detectives, the victim posed as a buyer of the advertised property and had the seller meet him at a business in the Annapolis Area.
Police said the suspect arrived at the business with the stolen property, at which time detectives confronted him and recovered all of the stolen property. The victim identified the suspect his vehicle as someone he saw on his property prior to the burglary occurring.
Michael David Bojanowski, 53, of the 600 block of Oakland Hills Drive was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, and theft under $1,000.
Police stress it is important that victims who may find themselves in a similar situation to contact law enforcement first for guidance and assistance prior to taking any action.
