Anne Arundel police looking for suspect who attempted to rob Hanover 7-Eleven

HANOVER, Md. - Anne Arundel police are searching for a man who attempted to rob a Hanover 7-Eleven early Wednesday morning.

Officers from the department’s Western District responded to the 7-Eleven in the 1400 block of Dorsey Road at 12:46 a.m. Store clerks told police the suspect entered the store, approached the counter and demanded money while wielding a knife.

At one point, the suspect attempted to jump over the counter, but was unsuccessful and ran off without getting any money. There were no injuries reported.

Officers and a K-9 unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

Police are looking for a black male in his mid-20s, 5’8 with a thin build, wearing a baseball hat and a dark button down shirt.
