Teen suspect wanted after 10-year-old, 13-year-old relatives stabbed in Glen Burnie

Anne Arundel County Police are looking for an 18-year-old accused of stabbing his relatives, ages 10 and 13, Monday night.

Officers responded to the 6400 block of Roots Drive in Glen Burnie around 7:42 p.m. Monday for a stabbing, and found a 10-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy both suffering from trauma to their bodies.

The girl was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center where she later died from her injuries. The boy was taken to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Police have identified Andres Rafael Quintana Garcia, of the 6400 block of Roots Drive as the suspect. Garcia fled the house on foot and is still on the loose, police said.

He’s described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, approximately 140 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. He was last seen wearing gray colored clothing.

Garcia faces first and second degree murder charges, along with several assault charges in connection with the incident.

This is the 11th homicide in Anne Arundel County this year, according to police.
