Anne Arundel County Police arrest three in car theft incident

GLEN BURNIE, Md: -  Anne Arundel County Police arrested three suspects in connection in a rash of car robberies in Glen Burnie.

On Wednesdays morning at 12:50 a.m., officers  responded to the 100 block of Sunset Drive for a report of individuals tampering with door handles on parked vehicles. 

A citizen provided a vehicle description that the suspects were operating. 

Cpl. William Daughters and Officer Jessica Cooper located a vehicle matching the description on Hollywood Drive and conducted a traffic stop on that vehicle.

Cpl. Matthew Walters observed another suspect on foot attempting to flee the area. That suspect ran on foot, but was apprehended. 

Officers located items that had been stolen from vehicles in the neighborhood inside of the suspect vehicle, a 2013 Hyundai Sonata.  It was determined that a total of four vehicles had been entered. 

Mark Andrew Fitzpatrick, 26, of 1350 Sargeant Street, Troy Allen Lucas, 23, of 5216 Disney Avenue and Michael John Brafford, 30, of 1230 Glyndon Avenue were arrested and charged with theft. 

 The suspect who fled also had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation.
