Anne Arundel Co. police seek suspect in Brooklyn armed robbery

BROOKLYN, Md. - Anne Arundel County police are seeking a male suspect who used a handgun to rob an 18-year-old man in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning.

Around 1:47 a.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery in the 5200 block of Brookwood Road. Police said the victim was walking home when he was approached by a male suspect in the area of Franklin Avenue and Alley 7.

The suspect took the victim’s wallet, an unspecified amount of money and his cell phone, police said. The victim was not injured during the confrontation.

The suspect fled through Alley 7 toward Orchard Avenue, possibly into Baltimore City. Police describe him as a bearded black male, approximately 5-foot-11, 140 to 160 pounds wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. He is armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
