Annapolis woman walks in on burglary in her own home

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - An Annapolis woman walked in on a burglary in her own home Wednesday, Annapolis police said.

At 8:20 p.m., police responded to the unit block of Bens Drive, where a woman returned home to discover her front door was slightly open. A man confronted her when she walked in, police said.

At first the man said he was leaving, but when the resident told him she had called the police, he said he wasn’t leaving. The man showed a handgun and pushed the resident to the floor.

He fled the apartment before police arrived.
