Annapolis police investigate year's first homicide

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Annapolis police are investigating the first homicide of the year.

Police say around 1:20 Sunday morning officers found the body of a man near a bench on baseball field in the 1100 block of Madison Street.  The man had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers were in the area following up on a report of gunshots fired in the vicinity.
