GLEN BURNIE, Md. - Anne Arundel police say that two individuals posed as police officers and held up four young men at gunpoint Saturday night.
Police were called at 10:30 p.m. to the area of Kent Drive and Kent Circle where they met "three young adult males and one juvenile male" who claimed to have been held up at gunpoint. They said they were walking through the woods to get to a house party when they were approached by two men claiming to be police officers.
The victims claim that the two men posing as police pointed an unknown type of gun at them and ordered them to the ground, where the suspects proceeded to take their belongings. It was at this point that one victim became suspicious and demanded identification, causing the two suspects to flee on foot. Two of the four victims pursued the robbers before seeing them jump into a dark colored truck and leave the area. A police search of the area was unsuccessful.
Police describe the suspects as white men of medium build in the 18- to 25-year-old range. Their vehicle is a dark colored, possibly green, late-model Toyota pickup truck with white letters on the tailgate and a roll bar.
Police ask anybody with information to call 410-222-6135.
