82-year-old woman stabbed by granddaughter in Pasadena, police say

An 82-year-old woman was stabbed by her granddaughter, who said she wanted to "cut the demons out of her," Anne Arundel County Police said. 
 
Police said the stabbing happened around 7:25 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of 2nd Street in Pasadena. A family member, who was not at the home, called police and said the 82-year-old victim was stabbed by her granddaughter numerous times. 
 
Police said the victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds when they arrived on the scene. She was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, and has been released from the the hospital.
 
Her granddaughter, Savannah Esperson Weaver, 20, of Pasadena, will be charged with attempted murder and other related charges. She was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
