2 charged with armed robbery after chase

GLEN BURNIE, Md. - An armed robbery at a Popeye's launched a police chase in Anne Arundel County early Monday morning.

Anne Arundel County Police say they were called to the Popeye's on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie after a man reported five men robbed him at gunpoint as he was getting into his car.

As officers arrived, they saw a suspicious car leave the area and tried to stop it. The men drove off and officers followed it into Severn, where the man jumped out and ran.

Police took three people into custody after the chase came to an end, two of whom were suspected of participating in the robbery.

Mack Galloway, 17, of Severn and Daniel Owens, 19, of Baltimore are each charged with armed robbery, robbery and 10 related charges.

Police are looking for three more people in connection with the robbery.
