Police want to make sure she's unharmed

LANSDOWNE, Md. - Baltimore County police are investigating an incident that occurred Wednesday morning in Lansdowne.

Police said at 7:30 a.m. officers responded to the 3000 block of Bero Road. When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered an adult male assault victim.

The suspect was believed to be in a home in the 3000 block of Bero Road where the assault occurred. The tactical team did not find anyone inside.

UPDATE FROM POLICE: Baltimore County Police are asking for the public's help locating Damaris Nohemi Calderon-Chavez, 24, of the 3000 block of Bero Road.  She is a resident of the home where the barricade occurred [Wednesday] morning and police would like to locate her to confirm that she is unharmed. She is a Hispanic female, 24 years old, 5'5", 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.  There is no known direction of travel and she does not own a vehicle.

Tammy Woodland lives behind that home. She described seeing the SWAT and tactical teams in her neighborhood as scary. 

"You just never know what happens in people's minds. You just never know," Woodland said. 

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Investigators were able to quickly determine that whatever happened inside the home was some sort of domestic situation. 
 
However, there was a lot of speculation circulating in the neighborhood.
 
"We've heard different stories but yeah it was just wild, crazy," Woodland said. 

Police are actively investigating this incident and believe that there is no danger to the community.
