A suspect in a series of sexual assaults in Baltimore has been arrested, police announced Friday.

Michael Privette, 22, was arrested and charged with four sexual assaults, according to Baltimore police.

"He raped two women in the city in 2015 and two in 2013 terrorizing them, their families, neighborhoods and our community," Interim Police Commissioner, Kevin Davis, said.

Davis credited hard-working detectives and the BPD crime lab for the arrest.

In a release, Baltimore police characterized Privette as a "serial rapist."

Police said Privette targeted a jogger, two women at bus stops and a woman who got into his car thinking it was an unlicensed cab.

One of the incidents happened last month in Bolton Hill, according to police.

"Comforting in that particular case but there are def more people out there who could very well be in this area too," Sarah Pruitt, a student, said in response to the arrest.

"I think that it's just absolutely reprehensible that somebody could do that to somebody by just picking somebody off the street with no motive," Evee Erb, another student who lives in the area, told ABC2.

Investigators said Privette was arrested without incident on September 2, 2015.
