7 Injured after pickup truck crashes into Almost Home Assisted Living in Reisterstown

REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Seven people had to be taken to an area hospital after a pickup truck crashed into an assisted living facility in Reisterstown, according to Baltimore County fire officials.

Friday evening, the pickup truck crashed into Almost Home Assisted Living in the 600 block of Main Street in Reisterstown.

BGE crews were dispatched to the scene to repair a gas leak. 

There were eight residents and two employees inside the home when the truck crashed through the main entrances. 

Two of the residents were listed in serious, but non-life threatening condition. The truck driver was taken to the hospital in stable condition. 

Meanwhile, three other residents suffered minor injuries. 

A neighbor also had to be taken to the hospital for injuries sustained from the gas leak. The neighbor ran into the home to help, fire officials said.
